BENEDICTION/ADORATION Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with Benediction is celebrated on occasion during the year here at the Parish. Watch the bulletin for the date and time. We also share the opportunity for Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with our neighboring parish, Sacred Heart. The Perpetual Adoration Chapel is located in the convent building at Sacred Heart Parish off of Main Street on Brierton. You may stop in anytime to pray or you may volunteer to spend a specific hour each week praying before the Blessed Sacrament. You are encouraged to call the rectory for further information or to volunteer.
MARIAN DEVOTIONS Each weekday morning, parishioners gather for 20 to 25 minutes, before the 8:00 AM Mass, to pray the rosary aloud together. In addition every Tuesday morning immediately following the 8:00 AM Mass, those wishing to stay pray together the prayers of the traditional Our Lady of Perpetual Help Devotion.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS Stations of the Cross are led on Fridays during Lent and on Good Friday afternoon. See the bulletin for specific times.
HOUSE BLESSING Parishioners wishing to have their house blessed are encouraged to call the rectory and schedule a time convenient for all involved.
PRAYER CHAIN Our Lady Prayer Chain is comprised of parishioners who include others in their daily prayers. Persons with special intentions or in need of prayer for their relatives and/or friends are invited to have names placed (or anonymously placed) on the prayer chain list. Requests for prayers can be made by contacting the Coordinator of the Prayer Chain. The chairperson then passes the name or special intention on to the next person on the prayer chain volunteer list, and that person on to the next person and so on.
Prayer Chain participants are not asked to pray in any set format. It is left to the individual participant's discretion to pray for the intention as he or she wishes. While participants do not always know the result of their prayers, it has been reported on a number of occasions that prayers have been greatly appreciated.
Anyone wishing to participate is encouraged to call the chairperson or the rectory for further information.
BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS October 4th is the feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Each year, on the Saturday closest to the feast, we invite folks to bring their animals for a special blessing. The date and time will be announced in the parish bulletin prior to the day of blessing.
