Children in the first and second grade have the opportunity to attend their own Liturgy of the Word during the 9:00 AM Mass on Sundays, October through May. The children are dismissed after the opening song with their catechist (teacher) for that Sunday. They go into the front sacristy for their lesson and return to their parents after the homily. During the Liturgy of the Word, the children read the "GOOD NEWS" pamphlets with their teacher and have discussions and activities on that Sunday's readings. No registration is necessary. If you would like to volunteer to be a catechist in this area, you are encouraged to contact the Coordinator of the Liturgy of the Word for Children or the rectory to leave your name and phone number.
